Niranjana Menon

Paralegal

Niranjana is a Paralegal at Ghothane Lawyers and works primarily on immigration law matters. Niranjana holds an LLM in “International Trade Law, Contracts and Dispute Resolution” from the ILO affiliated International Training Centre (University of Turin) and an LLB from Government Law College (University of Mumbai). She is a member of the Bar Council of India.

Prior to moving in Australia, Niranjana had over 7 years of experience in both corporate law and international law. She worked as a researcher and business development manager at boutique law firm Veritas Legal and as a corporate lawyer specialised in private equity matters at Samvad Partners. She has also worked as a research analyst with Indian think tank Strategic Foresight Group (SFG), as a consultant with the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and interned with the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT).

Niranjana has worked on multiple articles and papers including – “Insolvency of Intermediaries in Cross-Border Holding Systems” published with the Oxford University Press, “Japan’s rising interest in the Indian startup scene”, published by the India Business Law Journal and “Benefits of Cooperation in the Middle-East”, published by the Strategic Foresight Group.

Niranjana is fluent in English, Hindi and Malayalam. In her free time, Niranjana likes to explore the city, watch movies and spend time with her friends and family.
