Abhilasha graduated from Monash University in 2018 with Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) degree.
Prior to joining Ghothane Lawyers, Abhilasha commenced her legal career in corporate law in one of the leading Australian corporate law firms. She was involved in assisting clients with complex legal issues, specifically in areas of employment law, intellectual property and trademarks, and litigation.
Abhilasha has chosen employment law and migration law as her primary areas of practice. She developed passion for migration law during her previous work experience while working pro bono on a complex refugee visa related matter.
Abhilasha is passionate about community service. She has previously volunteered at community legal centres and provided advice to clients on family law related matters. At her previous law firm, Abhilasha undertook prop bono opportunities and was also awarded the “Pro Bono Star”. She will continue to pursue pro bono opportunities at Ghothane Lawyers.
Abhilasha works closely with clients to deliver timely, practical, and pro-active advice. Her excellent command over Nepali, Hindi and Maithili languages renders her capable of assisting clients who are unable, to or do not prefer to communicate in English.
Abhilasha enjoys spending time with her family and travelling.
